Even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, you’ll be amazed at what you can create surrounded by fields of blooming lavender.
Create three beautiful mixed-media pieces (see the pics at the bottom!) with an emphasis on watercolor painting lavender in this 2-hour class set in the lavender fields of Pristine Lavender! Just 15 minutes from Green Bay’s west side, we’ll paint under an open-air tent surrounded by blooming lavender.
Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, this sensory-filled creative experience includes a greeting card and postcard (both frame-worthy), plus a bookmark.
I'm teaching the class, and my speciality is anyone who thinks they can't paint. You can and you'll love the fun way we approach these projects. You'll also learn techniques you can use for yourself as you continue to enjoy the wonder of painting. Jean Jarosinski of Pristine Lavender is our host. All supplies are provided—just come ready to laugh, relax, and create! Paint, breathe, bloom!
Be sure to read the FAQs (below) to reserve your seat and learn more about Pristine Lavender products and my Mackinac Island stories. (Class fee $40.00)

Information to register:
You are registering for one seat for painting in the lavender fields.
No artistic talent needed, just the desire to have fun! We take the time to guide you step by step to complete your very own take home projects in a fun, casual environment. Ticket includes all art supplies to use while creating and artist instruction. PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY. CLASS STARTS PROMPTLY AT START TIME.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Yes, you do since there’s a limited amount of seating. Also, we need to have 5 painters to hold the class. If you decide to come at the last minute, just give us a call and we’ll do our best to get you in the class.
What can I expect at the class?
A wonderful, relaxing time! We will have complimentary water and a lavender cold beverage. Michele will instruct you step by step how to complete the projects in a way that is understandable. Even beginners will succeed! You’ll learn some basic watercolor techniques, plus she will share some secrets to make your artwork sing! Actual class time takes about 2 hours. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before class because we will start painting at the class time. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with your works of art!
Jean will have lavender products available for purchase, so bring your cash or credit card…you’re going to love what is available. Michele is also an author and will make her books available for a discounted price of $10 each/ cash only. To see her Mackinac Island stories, simply google Michele Olson books or visit LakeGirlPublishing.com. She will be happy to sign your books.
What is included in the cost of the class?
Everything you need to complete the projects —brushes, paper, paints, etc. , plus instruction you will enjoy. (You don’t take supplies home with you, but you do take home your three masterpieces!) You’ll also learn about lavender from host Jean Jarosinksi.
What should I wear?
We will be outside under an open-air tent, so dress for the outside temperature. We might get messy. Wear something you don’t mind getting some paint on if you are on the wild side.
What about cancellation?
The cancellation policy WILL be strictly enforced. Please view this just as you would if you pre-purchased a seat for a movie or concert. That seat is reserved for you. We understand sickness and other things come up. Below are your options:
If the classes need to be cancelled due to weather:
We will cancel if the weather is not conducive to being outside. This includes hard rain or extreme heat. Your ticket will be refunded, or if class openings exist, you will be alerted to upcoming classes you can join.
What if you need to cancel?
Your options: (1) You may transfer your ticket to someone else. Email jean@pristinelavender.com to notify who you are transferring it to. (2) Notify us by email at least 48 hours prior to the event that you cannot attend, and you will be allowed to transfer the ticket. We will strictly enforce the 48-hour rule. This is not an option for less than 48 hours’ notice. Late or no notification will result in forfeiting your ticket. Why? With the limited number of openings and classes, we want to fill the seats. You are booking a seat for an event, and we are saving that seat for you!
Can children attend?
The classes are geared to teens and up, depending on the ability of your teen to enjoy a 2-hour class. There is no childcare provided at any classes. Teens need to attend with an adult. This is a fun activity for teens who are interested and a parent.
Are the classes wheelchair accessible?
We are doing the class in the lavender field under a tent, so the ground is not level. Contact Jean if you are wondering if this would work for you.
We will paint all three of these projects!
